We will be adding a 100 mile distance and 2024 will be the Distance Nationals!!! Get your 100 mile horses ready!!!

The Iron Mountain Jubilee

is a challenging but very doable and enjoyable mountain endurance ride. You will be riding primarily the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail and the Iron Mountain Trail with several connecting trails. Terrain is mountainous with several long

climbs  interspersed with level areas for moving out.  Footing ranges from good to rocky. Hoof protection required for the longer distances. 

All vet checks will be in camp (except 100). Water will be available but it is  hauled in so please come with your water tanks full.

Friday, August 25 25/55 mile rides and Saturday August 26- 25/50/100 mile  rides.

100 mile ride will have an away vet check

 Vet- In begins on Thursday afternoon, August 24 for Friday's ride.

 The ride is dedicated to the memory of Garrie Bates. Proceeds  from the ride will benefit  the Back Country Horsemen of the Virginia Highlands Trail Fund to be used on the trails and the Garrie Bates Memorial Fund to benefit junior and young riders.

There are many things to see and do in the area including biking or riding the New River Trail, Virginia Highlands Horse Trail (this one is in the ride!), canoeing or kayaking and fishing (license required) on the New River and many more attractions. You'll find more information on our links page.
